No, this is not some bizarre sexual fetish post. It is about books, or at least a few sources for good ones that people might not know about.

ABE Books is a consortium of used bookstore all over. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of used bookstores listing there. Whether you are looking for signed first editions or just old books that are out of print, this place is great. There even are economically-priced places 0 I bought a load at a dollar each, with with shipping and handling was still only about $4 a book and some were huge tomes of well over a thousand pages.

Scholar’s Bookshel is a place for history, especially military history.

A Coomon Reader was a place for varied literature and eclectic tastes. I bough Wodehouse and a book on hot peppers from there, among dozens of others. Sadly, it closed earlier this year. I have yet to find a substitute.

I’m pretty sure I Ebayed a textbook from them at some point. (Which means they must be cheap!)
